I've officially completed the 77 days that I had originally scheduled to be my last day, due to some hiccup when my cousin and I were counting the bags, my new end date is Sunday night. BUT, I did decrease the last dosage this past Monday night and am officially only taking 12mg's. I don't know that my body is accepting it as a proper dosage, enough to make a real difference at all, but I'm taking it for the proper pre-determined amount of time regardless. Last night it occured to me that my nightly rituals of the having to fuss with glasses/contacts AND be sure to remember to not fall asleep without taking the Effexor will be absolutely GONE in less than a week. Whoa. What creatures of habit we are. Every morning and every night I still think about the glasses and lenses (taking them off, putting them in) and it's out of habit. I wonder how long it will take for me to forego the same type of thought regarding the Effexor. (You see that light at the end of the tunnel? cause I sure do.)

Working my way through things that have some sort of hold over me is motivating when you can look back and see how far it is that you've come. I now will begin to see my work situation in the same light; I will look back and be proud of not only refusing to settle for anything less than respect but too for following my calling even it mean that I find my purpose elsewhere. I'm not going to say the cliched "life is short" phrase because it's not... life is LONG. And it will only seem longer if we settle for a lower standard than we feel that our efforts deserve. The other day I was thinking about how soon I will turn 30 years old and how much life I have lived in these 30 years, and how many experiences I've had. And it hit me that (God willing) I will more than likely live at least another 30, if not two more "30's"! Do you realize how much time that is to be repeating the same mistakes, allowing yourself to be under-valued or to be doing harm to people only to have to run into them later in an environment that you can't get away from? Or imagine waking one day to a life that seems to never move forward? No thanks.
Life is Looooooooooong. Live a quality first 30 so that the other "30's" aren't haunted by it, ya know? Just sayin.

I'm hot flashing.. I gotta go. xoxo
